Windows 11 Setup & Repair Guides

Some Windows problems are not about one broken component but about the system itself: an update that will not install, a PC that cannot boot normally, a version Windows says your hardware does not support, or an activation error after a hardware change. These guides cover the built-in repair tools Windows already has and the order to use them in.

Start with the least invasive option. Safe Mode and a clean boot tell you whether a third-party driver or app is involved. SFC and DISM repair damaged system files without touching your documents. System Restore rolls back drivers and settings to an earlier point. Only if those fail does it make sense to reset the PC or do a clean install from a USB drive, and the guides explain how to back up first and what each option keeps or removes.

If you would rather not reinstall Windows yourself, a technician can do it remotely while you watch.
